Independent oil and gas exploration company Gold Oil has appointed Buchanan following a competitive pitch process.

The account will be led by partner Tim Thompson, head of Buchanan’s Oil and Gas practice, with support from account director Ben Romney and account manager Helen Chan.

Gold Oil plc is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company incorporated in April 2004 and focused on identifying oil and gas interests in Latin America, in particular Peru, Colombia and Cuba. The company will explore for, appraise, develop and produce oil and natural gas.

Earlier on in the year Buchanan was appointed by two other South American Oil and Gas companies – Global Energy Development with assets also in Columbia and Peru and Argentinean company Andes Energia.
