Webb Capital plc, the PLUS Markets quoted financial services group, announces that it has appointed Buchanan as its Financial Public Relations advisor with immediate effect.

Webb Capital provides a range of Corporate Advisory, Broking and Fund Management services to small to mid cap companies. The company has been created to be the first 21^st Century merchant bank combining hands on advice and fund raising capability to nurture small to mid cap companies capable of exceptional growth.

The Buchanan team will be led by Tim Anderson and Lisa Baderoon.

Commenting on the appointment, the CEO of Webb Capital, Peter Webb said:

The company was founded in 2009 by Peter Webb following a successful 30 year career in the City, most of it spent in fund management. Before this Peter Webb was Chief Executive of Unicorn Asset Management, which he founded and managed from March 2000 to July 2008. Before that he founded fund management firm CW Asset Management, was an Investment Director at Rutherford Asset Management and was a board director of private bank Granville Holdings.

The company’s Chairman, Chris Marsh, is a corporate broker by background, having joined Phillips & Drew in 1968 and headed the Small Cap broking team at UBS Limited (London) from 1993 until his retirement from UBS Limited (London) in 1998. From 1999 until 2004 he was part of a corporate finance advisory team at the Benfield Group, specialising in insurance related deals.
