Evraz is one of the largest vertically-integrated steel and mining businesses with three of the leading steel plants in Russia. The group has fast-growing iron-ore mining and coal businesses, as well as owning and operating the Nakhodka commercial sea port in the Far East of Russia. The group also has international vanadium operations comprised of Strategic Minerals Corporation, USA, and Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corporation, South Africa.

Buchanan was appointed following the flotation in Moscow and the listing of the GDR programme in London in 2005, when an independent investor perception audit was sought. The findings of this audit helped shape the IR and FPR strategy for the next twelve months and since then Buchanan has been retained for:

  • Annual report editing and overhauling in line with best practice.
  • Website development in line with best practice.
  • CSR reporting in line with best practice.
  • Interim results presentation, Q and A preparation and speech writing.
  • Further independent feedback and perception audits.
