Buchanan today announces that it has recently been appointed to advise three additional closed ended investment funds listed on London’s main market.
The first of these funds is Bluefield Solar Income Fund (BSIF.L), which focuses purely on investment into UK-based solar PV assets and was the first solar focused fund to list on the LSE in July 2013. Its portfolio currently comprises of 36 projects across England and Wales and the fund currently has a market capitalisation of approximately £425m.
The second fund is Strategic Equity Capital (SEC.L), which seeks to create value through constructive corporate engagement with publicly quoted companies. SEC seeks absolute returns principally through capital growth. It currently has a market capitalisation of approximately £154m.
The third fund is SQN Secured Income Fund (SSIF.L), which has recently rebranded from its previous name, SME Loan Fund and is now managed by the SQN team, best known for their SQN Asset Finance Income Fund. This fund invests in a range of diversified SME loan assets principally through Alternative Finance platforms. The fund currently has a market capitalisation of approximately £52m.
