Initially, Buchanan Communications was engaged by American Golf in 2005 with the principle objective of creating and maintaining a 'City' profile. Buchanan proposed a programme of introductions to key individuals in the target audiences in a two-phase process.

Alongside a targeted media and analyst introduction programme, Buchanan implemented additional tools to communicate the American Golf story including site visits; profile articles and website messaging.

More recently, Buchanan has been working alongside the management to ensure the communication of the successful management and structural revitalisation.
