Overview of the Company

Hf. Eimskipafelag Islands (formerly known as Avion Group Hf.) controls an international network of air and sea transportation companies providing transportation solutions. The Group provides Aviation Services offering Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance services (ACMI) for both cargo and passenger customers (scheduled and charter airlines), engineering as well as airport handling services. The second main business area is Shipping & Logistics services, providing shipping, logistics and supply chain management services for domestic and international customers.

Until October 2006, the Group also operated a chartered airline services and charter seat broking business, which was sold.

Avion Group listed on ICEX in December 2005 and was the largest new equity listing ever on ICEX. The market capitalisation on listing was ISK69 billion (c.£750 million).

Summary of our services for the Company:

Buchanan Communications acted for Avion Group for the flotation of the Group as Financial Public Relations and Investor Relations advisors. Buchanan undertook the following:

1. Assisted the management in formulating and disseminating key messages into the financial community through news releases, presentations, website content, annual reports and more general marketing material;
2. Ensured that the UK/international media accurately reported the Group's news flow in the market;
3. Ensured conformity with best practice.
